Little focus on Mana Records, a low-key but always good label run by Andrea Zarza, curator at the British Library Sound Archive, and Blowing Up The Workshop Founder.

Playful, quirky album of electronic miniatures by Argentinian composer Aylu, equally at home on Mana and Orange Milk records, where she released her previous album. Some tracks flirt with club music - well, "post-club" music as we call it - but the overall tones of the album are bright and peaceful. It offers a form of radiant abstraction that reminds of Terre Thaemlitz's ambient releases, Tranquilizer in particular. Another great, peaceful release from Mana records. (M/M)
