Since I mentioned Michael Nyman's soundtracks recently, here's a compilation of some of Nyman's inspirations for some of the music he composed for Peter Greenaway's films: music from Tudor times.

Thomas Morley, John Dowland, ... you might be familiar with a few of these 16th & 17th centuries composers if you've been following the stuff I posted about in recent weeks.
