I have a thing for these turn-of-the-century electronic minimal productions, a sound that prophesy a seamless future, the kind displayed in Spielberg's early 00's sci-fi fictions Minority Report or AI. Minimal Muji-like interiors and transparent screens. The 12-inches released on Japanese minimal producers Indopepsychics' imprint Progressive Form in the early years of the 31st Century give a musical transcription of such a future.

Warm and slightly glitchy dub techno, surgically produced by the kind of people you'd encounter in Cyberia, the underground club from Japanese anime series Serial Experiments Lain. Abstract and seemingly neutral music that reflects the abstract and seemingly neutral nature of communication networks. Music as a connector between listeners, music as a a network. (VG+/VG+)
