A rare example of a contemporary electronic music "producer album", a genre that's been slowly disappearing from record stores' shelves. Jack Chrysalis delivers state-of-the-art 2020's UK electronic productions, starting with relatively abstract tunes, "Carrier2" and "Glass Sheathe", and eventually reaching a climax with the certified UK Garage banger "One Day", rounding off the LP perfectly. Absolutely crisp sound, superbly produced and great pressing for a high quality listening experience. It makes me kind of miss the heydays of the dance music album format. We probably had way too much of them 10 years ago, but in 2024, Jack Chrysalis's debut album is refreshing. (M/M)
