By far one of my favourite bands of the early 2020's, VU-inspired Rotterdam quator Lewsberg. Here's the latest installment in a series of great releases, further developing the band's now signature formula of bare, nagging guitar-bass-drums slow grooves. 

Lewsberg's music exhales a hard to pin down sexyness. It might have something to do with that inimitable Rotterdam English accent, or is it the ongoing tension the band masterly creates with the simplest, ritournelle-like, chord progressions? True masters of musical edging... Anyway, some of the most consistent, warm and obsessive examples of the indie pop revival we're going through. Great album, not far behind their exceptionally good 2021 In Your Hands. (M/M)
