Talk Talk - Spirit Of Eden

Not much to say really, or too much to say… Simply one of the absolute best pop albums ever made! No hit, just pure bliss. 

Seriously, how many former top-of-the-pops mainstream bands can you name that also left the hit parade world to release some of the most sophisticated, complexe and haunting albums, and doing so by also being DECADES ahead of their time? Spirit of Eden is up there, with Abbey Road or I Trawl The Megahertz. I know I'm using "big" words, but if not now, when?

I'm a fan of Talk Talk, always loved their 1986 Album, The Colour Of Spring, but this is something else. Going even further in then unexplored pop territories, Spirit Of Eden is nothing short of a miracle. A world of its own, and not a tiny cabin in the wood, but a whole continent. Prefiguring sounds one would only experience in the 21st Century. Unreal. 

Clean copy but very quiet music, hence some crackles (VG+ / VG+)
