Town And Country – It All Has To Do With It.

Modern classical leaning post-rock by Chicago quartet from 2000. Their first album on Thrill Jockey, that was home to some of the most blissful chicago post-rock bands of the time, like Tortoise or The Sea And Cake. Sweet and pastoral, It All HAs To Do With It is also one of the most genuinely soothing records I can think of. It competes - though it's probably not appropriate to use the verb "compete" in such a peaceful musical world - with the likes of Virignia Asley's From Garden Where We Feel Secure, or The Penguin Café Orchestra's most laid-back pieces, and more recently, some of the burgeoning British pastoral scene like Flaer, Kirk Barley, etc.

It should also come has no surprise that this record was found in Japan, as it sits perfectly well next to relaxing masters like Ken-Ichiro Isoda, Hiroshi Yoshimura, Satoshi Ashikawa...

 Ideal music to : take care of your plants, take a stroll in the park or lay in the grass and watch clouds pass by. Muji-core (VG+/VG+)
